ZQ203-100 / ZQ203-125ZQ Series Drill Pipe Power Tongs
The ZQ series combines spinning and torque functions in an open-throat hydraulic tong for making up and breaking out drill-pipe and tool-joint connections during drilling and workover operations.
Product Overview
Integrated Spinning and Torque Control
The open-throat head can disengage from the pipe string after the connection is made up or broken out. Combining spinning and final torque in one powered assembly reduces manual handling and helps limit thread damage when the correct jaws, rollers and operating settings are used.
Operating function
The hydraulic motor and transmission rotate the pipe connection, while the tong body applies controlled make-up or break-out torque. The backup arrangement reacts the torque during operation.
Typical service
Suitable for drill-pipe and tool-joint handling in land drilling, offshore drilling and workover service when the selected model and jaw/roller set match the connection outside diameter.
Model confirmation required
ZQ203 is a series designation, not a complete ordering code. Confirm ZQ203-100 versus ZQ203-125, standard versus Type II lifting configuration, manufacturer, nameplate, serial number, jaw/roller set and hydraulic/pneumatic supply before ordering.
